New Congress may want Medicare drug changes; 2nd enrollment season starts

Medicare drug coverage could be in for a major overhaul. Democrats, who just won control of both houses of Congress, want Medicare to negotiate with pharmaceutical companies to lower drug costs, a practice that is now illegal. The savings, they say, will eliminate the gap in coverage that seniors face when their costs reach $2,251 and continues until the costs top $5,100.
